Sarah Broughton

Sarah qualified as a physiotherapist in 1995, commencing her career within the teaching hospitals of Newcastle. Following comprehensive junior rotations across multiple specialties, she developed a particular expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Sarah's career progression led her to University Hospital Southampton, where she served as Clinical Lead of the Trauma and Orthopaedic unit for 13 years. This senior role enabled her to develop extensive clinical expertise across a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions, traumatic injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation.

In 2015, Sarah founded Hampshire Home Physio to deliver professional physiotherapy services within the comfort and convenience of clients' own homes. Over the past decade, the practice has established itself as a trusted provider of home-based physiotherapy services throughout Hampshire. Working alongside a team of skilled associate practitioners, Sarah provides high-quality, patient-centred physiotherapy tailored to individual needs and goals

Rachel Devlin

Rachel qualified as a physiotherapist in 1992 and brings over 33 years of clinical experience to her practice. Throughout her career, she has worked primarily within the NHS, including her current role at University Hospital Southampton, and has also gained valuable experience working in Australia.

Her main areas of expertise lie in respiratory care and rehabilitation. Rachel is passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships with her patients, working collaboratively with them to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. She finds it rewarding to be part of a profession where meaningful differences can be made to people's lives.

Working with HHP enables Rachel to deliver personalised, bespoke care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. She often works with clients over extended periods, supporting their independence and wellbeing. This approach allows her to draw upon the diverse range of skills she has developed throughout her career whilst continuing to learn and develop professionally.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their elderly dog.

Marie Hulse

Marie qualified with a first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy in 1992 and has built an extensive career primarily within the NHS at University Hospitals Southampton. She joined Hampshire Home Physio in 2021, bringing nearly three decades of clinical experience.

Her career began specialising in respiratory care before progressing to vascular surgery. Throughout her practice, rehabilitation has remained at the heart of Marie's approach. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their personal goals and return to their roles in society, using a combination of evidence-based physiotherapy, collaborative problem-solving, and person-centred care.

Working with Hampshire Home Physio has enabled Marie to further develop her rehabilitation expertise. She values the opportunity to deliver tailored treatments within patients' home environments, making therapy both meaningful and achievable. Marie often works with individuals over extended periods, building relationships that support long-term recovery and functional improvement.

Outside of work, Marie enjoys looking after her crazy Springer Spaniel puppy and playing softball cricket.

Rebecca Bettridge

Rebecca began her academic journey in psychology, completing her degree at the University of Sheffield in 1998. Over the following years, she gained qualifications in counselling skills, British Sign Language and human biology, travelled through Australia and played drums in a band before returning to university to pursue physiotherapy, graduating from Southampton University in 2003.

Rebecca has spent the majority of her professional career in the NHS, working at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth until 2015, where she specialised in Trauma and Orthopaedics. During her final years there, she led the Physiotherapy team, assisted in establishing the Enhanced Recovery Programme for hip and knee replacements, and published patient handbooks in association with the hospital.

After completing a Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (LSSM), Rebecca moved into private practice and has been working with Hampshire Home Physio since late 2022. This role allows her to treat clients in the comfort of their own homes, taking a holistic approach and dedicating the time each patient deserves. Rebecca values building strong relationships with her patients, understanding their individual needs and collaborating with them to achieve their goals, whether that involves rehabilitation following an injury, operation or illness, or making improvements to enhance their quality of life.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys a busy family life with three young children and an energetic puppy.

Suzanna Greenfield

Suzannah is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical practice spanning both NHS and private community settings. She has developed a specialist interest in Respiratory Physiotherapy, building extensive expertise in the assessment and management of both long-term and acute respiratory conditions, including chest clearance techniques and breathlessness management.

Alongside her respiratory work, Suzannah has a particular passion for Pulmonary Rehabilitation, where she draws on her wealth of experience to help patients build strength, improve balance and enhance their overall fitness and quality of life. This holistic approach to patient care extends naturally into community and home-based physiotherapy, where Suzannah supports individuals through post-operative recovery, falls prevention and management, and general deconditioning — providing tailored exercise programmes, gait re-education and patient education in the comfort and convenience of their own home.

Suzannah is committed to working collaboratively with each patient to help them reach their individual goals, ensuring that care is both personalised and progressive.

Outside of work, Suzannah lives with her husband and their two teenage children near the New Forest. She enjoys walking her chocolate labrador Harvey, pursuing her love of art and craft, and baking.

Melissa Williams

Melissa graduated from Cardiff University with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2005 and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

Following graduation, Melissa spent nearly 20 years working across a wide range of specialities within the NHS, with a particular focus on older people and falls rehabilitation. Her specialist interest lies in working with patients living with a cancer diagnosis or palliative conditions, an area which has shaped her deeply patient-centred and holistic approach to rehabilitation — one that prioritises quality of life and independence above all else.

More recently, Melissa has been working as a physiotherapist within a special needs school and college, supporting young adults with physical disabilities to maximise their function and independence. This diverse and varied career has further strengthened her belief in the importance of tailored, person-centred care.

Across all settings, Melissa places great emphasis on clear communication, flexibility and collaboration, working alongside patients within their own homes and community environments to achieve the best possible outcomes for each individual.

Michele Murphy : Secretary

Michele brings 19 years of dedicated experience as a medical secretary to our physiotherapy practice. Throughout her extensive career in healthcare administration, she has developed a genuine passion for supporting patients and ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and attention.

What Michele values most about her role is the opportunity to help people every day. Her warm, professional approach and wealth of experience make her an invaluable member of our team, providing seamless support to both our patients and clinical staff.

Outside of work, Michele enjoys an active lifestyle, regularly walking with her dogs and appreciating the great outdoors. She treasures quality time spent with friends and family, and particularly cherishes the special moments she gets to share with her grandchildren.
